My name is Nicole Hernandez. I’ve been a technology consultant since 1997. I’m the owner and founder of Website Style.
I have worn several ‘hats’ within the technology world. After spending several years working on the desktop programming and database side, I made a major shift toward web development.
At the time this took place, I was starting to see a major trend toward applications that interfaced with the Internet in some way, and this made me realize there was a shift happening in technology. Realizing I needed a greater understanding of the way the web was changing, and I took the plunge and started working with a web focus.
The web is where I have been working exclusively, and I have no desire to return to desktop software. I feel that the future of technology is a fully online version of everything we used to do on the desktop.
However, with a huge influx of new online applications, there is also a whole new set of challenges to web developers - and that is where I have centralized my web development business. My specialty within the web is in developing with a focus on Web Standards, Usability, and Accessibility.
